Base58
Encoder & Decoder for Blockchain Developers
A clean, developer-first tool to decode and encode Base58 strings. No ads, no tracking, pure utility.
How Base58 Encoding Works
What is Base58?
Bitcoin ecosystem
Base58 is a binary-to-text encoding scheme used primarily in the Bitcoin ecosystem and other cryptocurrencies. It is designed to represent large integers as alphanumeric text.
Why Base58 instead of Base64?
designed by Satoshi Nakamoto
Base58 was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto to avoid visual ambiguity. It eliminates characters that look similar to prevent human error:
0 (Zero) and O (Capital o) are removed.
I (Capital i) and l (Lower case L) are removed.
+ and / symbols are removed to ensure the string can be selected by double-clicking without breaking.
From Encoding to Enterprise Infrastructure
secure
Understanding the bits and bytes of Base58 is where we started. Building secure, scalable decentralized infrastructure is where we are now.
At Base58.io, we are not just a tool provider. We are a blockchain engineering agency. We help companies build:
Custom DePIN architectures
High-assurance Smart Contracts
Real-World Asset (RWA) Tokenization
